Men’s Competitive Church Basketball League

What is M.C.C.B.L.?

The M.C.C.B.L. is a city wide organized competitive Basketball league for men age 17 and older. We will play two 20 minute halves by college rules. Halftime will be five minutes. There will be two certified referees for each game, with a scorekeeper and scoreboard.

Where and when are the games?

All games will be held at Immanuel Baptist Church's Christian Life Center (1415 S. Topeka)  Games will be on Monday nights , Games will begin the first week in January.

What does a team consist of?

Each team needs to consist of at least 8 but no more than 10 players. We would like all the players to attend the same church, but it is not required.

How much does it cost?

The league entry fee is $45 per player. This includes a jersey to play in, referee for each game, and a minimum of seven games.

How do I sign up?

Once you have organized your team, call or email one of the league managers. At this time the team captain will need to fill out a roster sheet, and have everyone sign liability waivers. Your player entry fee will also be required at this time. Space is limited, so sign up soon.

League Rules

1. Game Length

     Two 20 min. halves. 5 min. halftime

2. Clock

     Clock will run continuously except for the last two minutes of the second half, where

     The clock will stop if the score is 10 points apart or closer. If the margin is greater

      Than 10 points, the clock will continue to run.

3. Overtime

     Overtime is a three minute period. Clock rules are the same for the last two minutes of

     Overtime as they are for the last two minutes of the second half.

4. Open Substitutions

     You may sub at anytime during the game. Dead ball or timeout is not needed.

5. Timeouts

     Each team will be allowed two 1min timeouts per half. You will also have one 1 min time out in over time.

6. Technical Fouls

     Technical fouls can be assessed by the refs, or from the sideline by the league

      Managers. If a player receives two technicals in one game, he will be ejected from

      The game. If he receives three technicals over the course of the season, he will be ejected

      from the league, and his entry fee will not be refunded.

7. Roster

     Each team must have at least 8 players on their roster. Teams are allowed a maximum

     of 10 players on their roster. Roster sheets must be submitted before the first game. If

     At any point during the season you bring a player who is not on the roster sheet, that

     Player will not be allowed to participate.  Any changes to the roster would

      Have to be pre-approved by the league managers at least one week in advance. All roster must be finalized by mid season.

8. Jerseys

     A  FRESH CLEAN non smelling scrimmage jersey will be provided for you. If your team wants to have their own jerseys made that is fine, but we do ask that they have numbers on the front and back of the shirt for the refs.

9. Entry Fee

     The entry fee is $45 per player. Each player must pay in full before Dec 14th.

      They will be asked not to participate until their fee is paid.
